Student Spotlight: Mohammed Mustafa Ali

Today's spotlight article features Mohammed Mustafa Ali, a 19-year-old student at King's College London. Hailing from Birmingham, Mohammed attended one of the city's top grammar schools, King Edward VI Five Ways, and is interested in eventually becoming an inventor or entrepreneur. 'I believe the next big industries will be space, artificial intelligence, genetics, and biotechnology,' he states. He has already started developing his interest in these fields, having become the next secretary of KCL Space and represented King's at the 2023 National Student Space Conference held at the University of Manchester in March. 'The technical skills I have developed throughout my studies will be immensely helpful in any creative pursuit, and I think that the best ideas often come unexpectedly,' he remarks. Mohammed's two biggest inspirations are Alexander Graham Bell and Steve Jobs; the former for his 'innovative and broad contributions to the way we communicate,' and the latter for his 'marketing genius, minimalist designs, and exceptional customer experience.' Aside from academics, Mohammed plans to spend the upcoming summer traveling to France, Jordan, and his native Iraq.
